New Jersey families want an educational system that works in partnership with communities, shares decision making power with families, and provides physically, mentally, and emotionally safe environments that educate the whole child and provide clear pathways from education to the workforce.

By 2020, Teach For America New Jersey will have a critical mass of leaders who will rally its base to  the systems we know to be drivers of educational inequity, leverage its creativity and harness the voices of the community to  what life can be like for NJ children, and work with like-minded organizations to  approaches to education that will address the impact of inter-generational trauma and put our studentes on paths to success.

We aim to work in partnershipo with New Jersey communities to dramatically increase the number of leaders positioned to share the schools and broader systems who will collectively prepare 50,000 NJ students each day for success in life.
